Whmcs update error: php_uname() has been disabled for security reasons

    While Updating WHMCS, if you get the following error "Error: php_uname() has been disabled for security reasons"

    If you have root access follow the below procedures

    1. Home » Service Configuration » PHP Configuration Editor
    2. Select Advanced Mode
    3. See for disable_functions, on the right side look for php_uname() and delete it from the list as show in the image below.

    Once PHP INI file is updated, you can update WHMCS.

    If you do not have root access you will need to contact your server admin to have it disabled.
